Manuel Antonio is located on the Pacific Coast, and considered to be the lgbtq+Q+ hotspot of the country, but you should bear in mind that it caters more to gay men than women or trans and nonbinary people. Its lgbtq+Q+ scene encompasses the only lgbtq+Q+ bar outside San Jose, an exclusively lgbtq+Q+ hotel, and a large section of beach where there are many parties during the dry season. 
The city center of Manuel Antonio has several gay hotels, many of which fly rainbow flags. It's a great spot for beach nightlife, and some of the hotels host special events specific for lgbtq+Q travelers.
